Botox is the most common cosmetic procedure performed annually in the United States. The purpose of Botox is to relax the wrinkles of the face that are caused by the muscles of facial expression. The three most common areas to treat are the frown lines or what people refer to as the 11's, right here between the eyebrows, and then the forehead, those horizontal lines in that area and thirdly is the crow's feet. When you smile, you get lines there and a lot of people, both men and women, want to soften those areas. Those are the three most common areas and then there's even other areas that Botox can treat. Generally, Botox will last between two to three months. When an injection is done, it takes about three to five days for you to start to see the result. After that it generally lasts about three months. You may start to notice it wear off shortly before that, but it wears off gradually and usually by about three months it is worn off completely.
