If you have experienced loosening skin beneath your chin, liposuction will not tighten the area. If you want to address skin laxity, you may be a better candidate for a neck lift. A neck lift can be combined with liposuction to address both concerns and achieve even more dramatic effects.
What Are My Chin Liposuction Options?

Traditional Liposuction
Traditional liposuction has been safely performed for decades. Dr. Smart will make a small incision on your neck so a thin rod called a cannula can be inserted. The tip of a cannula emits a high-frequency vibration that liquefies fat. A negative suction device built into the cannula then removes the fat deposits from under your chin.
Ultrasonic Liposuction
Dr. Smart is the first plastic surgeon in Collin County to offer VASER liposuction. The ultrasound technology reshapes your chin with less trauma to surrounding tissues. The tubes used to suction out fat are so small that the incisions do not have to be sutured following the procedure.
Laser Liposuction
Smartlipo Triplex is a laser-assisted liposuction technology that eliminates fat cells and promotes the production of collagen. Compared to traditional liposuction, Smartlipo Triplex results in faster healing, less bleeding, tighter skin, and a more precise treatment.
