Skin Rejuvenation Options
We offer a several skin rejuvenation option to address unique aesthetic concerns. An IPL photofacial is often the recommended solution if you have skin that is uneven in coloration because of sun damage, blotchiness, freckles, or spider veins. Microneedling is recommended for improving the texture and firmness of your skin with the reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size and even scars by creating new collagen and elastin.
Microneedling with or without Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin by creating tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin which alerts the skin to create new collagen and elastin. During this treatment, a specialized hand piece with very tiny needles is guided over the treatment area. Areas treated with microneedling are typically the face, neck, chest and hands. Prior to treatment, the area is numbed with a topical cream. Patients usually feel light pressure as the hand piece is guided over the treatment area. Microneedling with PRP uses your own plasma applied to the face throughout the treatment and offers maximum benefits for collagen and elastin rejuvenation. The area will have some redness and tightness immediately after the treatment and this can last up to a few days as the collagen rejuvenation process occurs. For optimal results, a series of treatments, four weeks apart, may be recommended.
An IPL photofacial can help patients reduce hyper-pigmentation, redness, and visible blood vessels. During this treatment, a specialized hand piece is guided over the treatment area. Patients usually feel warmth, or a light snapping sensation. The pulses of laser light will cause the collagen and blood vessels deep below the epidermis to constrict. This will effectively reduce discoloration in the weeks following treatment. Applied to virtually any area of the body, IPL photofacials are most often used on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. Depending on the condition of your skin, a series of a few treatments may be needed to provide the longest-lasting benefits.
