Education and Credentials
Dr. Ken Smart is a native of Dallas, Texas. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University. He then completed a five-year general surgery residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, where he was an instructor of surgery and elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following residency, Dr. Smart was awarded a two-year specialty fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Being a plastic and reconstructive surgeon ensures that the doctor has completed at least three years of general surgery training following medical school.
